Digital & RF circuit design

From a breakout or adapter to a high-speed multi-board system, we design iteratively and test against your requirements at each stage.

PCB & antenna integration

We design the schematic schematic and PCB layout in KiCad. We select, place and tune a suitable PCB or SMD antenna as required, so the RF layer performs correctly in the actual product enclosure.

Embedded firmware

We build your application in embedded C or Python, either bare-metal or under an RTOS. We also have significant experience in backend API design and integration for connected products.

Prototype, then production

Our in-house assembly and 3D printing capabilities means we can iterate fast. Design for manufacture, including EMC, Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and UKCA pre-compliance, means smooth scaling to production.

Farm-proof design

The Open Weed Locator (OWL) is an open-source precision-agriculture platform, linked to the Noktura AI ecosystem for agricultural data, which detects weeds in real time for targeted spot-spraying. Noktura asked us to redesign the existing system to incorporate several components on one small, field-rugged PCB.

We delivered a mixed-signal design in a compact footprint, integrating compute, PCIe, cellular, Wi-Fi, high-res camera, Ethernet and the sprayer solenoid drivers. The new product withstands temperature extremes, rough handling and noisy agricultural power supplies, and is designed to be easy to maintain.
